Campus Missionaries Commissioned

At the Montanayouth.com convention this year the Campus Missionaries (CM'S) of Montana were commissioned. This year we celebrate the fact that we have more campus missionaries than ever before! (Almost 500)

This years commissioning service took on a new flavor. In past years Governor Judy Martz was present to challenge the students. This year, 5 students commissioned their peers to Pray Live Tell Serve and Give to their campus.

"I am a senior at Bozeman High" said Zach, so you would call me a student, and as he held up the year book from his school he said, "but because of all of the faces in this yearbook that represent people that don't know Jesus
Christ, I AM A CM!"

I am an athlete, a daughter, a son, a Bronco fan, and so on it went as Kathleen, Rachel, Zach, Laura, and Shantel describe themselves to the over 1100 students and leaders in the audience. Each one had a picture that
represented a friend or friends that did not know Jesus...except Shantel. She said, "As you can see, my frame is empty, there is no picture. That is because a year ago I shared my faith with my friend Jenna and she accepted
Jesus as her Savior, and she is her with me tonight!" The cheers and the tears were there as Jenna came onto the platform and joined her friend Shantel. They embraced, and then Jenna took the microphone and said,
" Shantel and I have been friends for a long time. If it wasn't for her I would not be standing here tonight." Then she looked at every student there and said, "All of you have a friendship like Shantel and I. You have a
friend that does not know Jesus. You need to tell them! That is why you are a CM!"

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens his friend. That sums up the evening. As students challenged students to make being a CM a lifestyle.
